Countdown To The Sisters' Reunion!

Hey all!

Kate here. My excitement is building exponentially as Lindy Bout quickly approaches! In a few short days, I will be on my way to Vancouver to perform, compete, and dance with some of the best dancers assembled in Western Canada! I am looking forward to competing with two of my original choreographies as both a solo dancer and with The Miss Behavin' Chorus Girls. In typical procrastinKATEtion fashion, I am writing this blog post instead of packing. I am also realizing that I should probably decide on a costume for the solo piece I will be performing. WHOOPS. It will happen all in good time, friends.

After Lindy Bout, I'll be ferrying my silly self over to the island to reunite with my Switchin' Sister, Kirsten, in Victoria! HECK YES. I am super excited to debut our first switch class to you ambidancetrous cool cats! Kirsten and I have spent a long time playing with this underused aspect of social dancing. Most of it has involved various forms of messing up and then working to refine our discoveries. We are extremely stoked to share our knowledge and invite you to play around with this fun skill with us in an inclusive and safe environment! We know that creativity stems from having a good time so be prepared to laugh while you learn.

On another note, I am actively seeking out live music shows to check out during my time in Victoria. So, locals! Let me know what's going on! Jazz, swing, blues, rock, folk, WHATEVER. You can't go wrong with a beer and some live tunes.
